About Me

My name is Cameron Asante, I am a sound designer from Edinburgh, Scotland.

I am always excited and eager to create unique sound. I have a great passion for creating immersive, evocative and enthralling stories through audio. I hope my work can allow me to be at the forefront of innovation in technology, allowing my work today to hopefully have a lasting impact whether that be through entertaining fans or helping break boundaries in the games and audio industry.

Outside of audio I have several hobbies and interests. Most tend to rotate on a quarterly basis with the occasional new addition. Some of interests include Cars, Weightlifting, Stand-up Comedy (as a spectator) and the outdoors.

I currently reside in Edinburgh, Scotland and work as a QA Tester at Rockstar Games.

Skills & Education

Expert knowledge of ProTools and FL Studio. Competent with Ableton, Reaper, Unreal Engine and FMOD.

Good understanding of Studio Recording, Field Recording, Mixing and Mastering techniques.

Achieved First Class in BA(Hons) Audio Production course.

DYING LIGHT 2

This is a sound re-design of Techland's Dying Light 2. This is work I did in early 2022 and is one of my first redesigns, at the time I was pleased with how it turned out. However, looking back there is quite a few mistakes and a lot I would change. Nevertheless, one I wanted to add to a collection.

IMPLEMENTATION

This is a recent project I did, designing and implementing audio for the Epic Games Learning Kit for Unreal Engine. This is my first ever attempt at seeing the whole "game audio process" through from start to finish, and my first time using FMOD and Unreal Engine. I learned a lot of the basics but have a long road ahead of me and excited to learn more!

PODCASTING

AUDIO ASSIGNMENT

During my final year at college I recorded, mixed, mastered and composed music for a Podcast episode I created as part of my Commercial Audio Production module. I recorded in the studio using a SSL console and various microphones. I also ensured I mastered to broadcast streaming specifications.

For a short time, I did freelance work for a couple clients on Fiverr. I offered Podcast editing and other post production services.

TOY STORY

ADR & FOLEY

This is a small ADR project I did in 2021 as part of my studies. All dialogue replaced, small bits of foley and sound design done by me. Buzz is played by me and Woody by a classmate. I can't compete with Tim Allen but a fun exercise nonetheless.
